Our Founder and CEO, John Bromley, was asked by Gabe Oatley of Future of Good about how fundraisers can increase their giving base by connecting with DAFs.

“My advice is fundraising doesn’t change with DAFs,” said Bromley. “The wallet changes. Where they’re pulling the money from changes, but nothing else changes.”

According to the article, “Donor Advised Fund grants can give your charity a boost. In 2021, the average DAF grant was $10,000,” however, it highlights that “fundraisers aren’t sure how to connect with DAF holders.”

The article lists nine actions for charities to better connect with DAFs. It highlights the growth of DAF assets in recent years as an increasing opportunity, as it represents the creation of “larger pools of philanthropic wealth for fundraisers to target.”
