Canadian Family Offices: Women are ‘kicking butt,’ exercising new power in philanthropic giving

“Women have played an incredibly vital role the whole way through philanthropy—they just haven’t gotten the credit,” says John Bromley, CEO and founder of Charitable Impact, a Vancouver-based giving platform that operates as a donor-advised fund (DAF).
In this second edition of a special report by Canadian Family Offices, Bromley shared his thoughts on the contributions women have made to the philanthropic world over the years. He is joined by other experts to talk about how women have steadily been a strong force for charitable giving even if they haven't always been recognized for it.
According to him, women have historically managed household budgets, but they’ve also done the lion’s share of volunteering at nonprofits and served on boards.
