Canadian Family Offices: Charities scramble to engage the next generation

In this fourth edition of Canadian Family Offices' special report series on “The Changing Face of Philanthropy in Canada, Charitable Impact's CEO, John Bromley shared his thoughts on why charities are scrambling to engage the next generation.
Bromley attributed the decline of traditional institutions, like churches, as partly to blame for the decline in giving as there is "nowhere to go to learn about giving today." To combat this, he advocates for building a broader culture of philanthropy through initiatives such as school programs and integrating giving into corporate cultures.
Additionally, he highlighted the potential role of wealth advisors in promoting philanthropy among clients and their families.
