If you are looking to fundraise for a cause you care about, setting up a Giving Group on CHIMP can be a great place to start. Giving Groups enable your friends, family, co-workers and social networks to join you in raising money. When we join together, we can maximize our impact!

Here are some Giving Groups that are making an impact on CHIMP this month:

Kerala Floods Support Group

Beginning in July 2018, severe floods affected the south Indian state of Kerala. It was the worst flooding in Kerala in nearly a century; this Giving Group is aiming to raise $5,000 to support those affected by the flooding.

Opal – Walk for Wolmer’s 2018

This Giving Group is aiming to raise $1000 for the 2018 Wolmers Toronto Walkathon in support of the Wolmer’s Boys and Wolmer’s Girls School in Kingston, Jamaica. Both schools are currently receiving inadequate funding, threatening their development and ability to maintain their high standards of education.

Support Geoffrey: From Uganda to Canada

Geoffrey has earned Football for Good’s first international scholarship opportunity. In September, Geoffrey will join St. Andrew’s College, Canada’s biggest all-boys boarding school, on a full academic scholarship. This Campaign is to raise the $10,000 needed to support his move from Uganda to Canada, where talent will finally meet opportunity!

Michael’s Whistler Gran Fondo

Michael Elkan took part in the Whistler Gran Fondo, and is taking the opportunity to fundraise for Mission Possible, an employment training enterprise working to alleviate poverty in Vancouver’s downtown eastside. Michael’s Giving Group is aiming to raise $1000 in total for this great cause!

Robinson Bookies

September marks the beginning of 5th Literacy is Life: a month-long province-wide fundraising campaign co-ordinated by Decoda Literacy Foundation in BC. This Giving Group is fundraising for the cause and matching donations up to $2,500, to make contributions go even further!
