Charitable Impact

People who give together, feel good together. Giving Groups are a new feature for our beta users, and we’re looking forward to you testing them out. These groups let people rally family, friends, co-workers or anyone you’d like to raise money with.

Anyone who’s already using Chimp can set up a Giving Group. It only takes a few seconds to create the group fund, then you can invite other current Chimp users to join as soon as it’s set up.

Have friends you think might want to be part of the group but aren’t using Chimp yet? Invite them by chimping them a few dollars first. When they accept your money and set up a Personal Fund, they’re ready to join in the group giving fun.

Once your Giving Group is set up, members just send money to it from their Personal Funds. Easy peasy.

Members can make comments on the group’s profile page as well. Encourage others to give … or taunt them if that’s more your style. It’s a great way for the group admin to update all the members on what’s happening as well.

Social giving is fun giving, non? Once you sign into Chimp, you can set up a Giving Group here.

Next post, we’ll give you a few ideas on what you can do with a Giving Group.
