In today’s world, and particularly online, it can be easy to get sucked into negativity and cynicism. So it’s always refreshing to come across inspirational campaigns, news and research that flip negativity on its head and inspire kindness and gratitude.

These three inspirational videos do just that.

What is Privilege?

Well, it’s complicated, as evidenced by this video produced by Buzzfeed. Inspired by two social activists, the privilege walk is an exercise based on 35 societal privileges or disadvantages that requires participants to step forward for every privilege they have experienced and backward for those they didn’t have access to. It’s both enlightening and heartbreaking to see how circumstances that many take for granted can be a huge detriment to the course of life for others.

#TDThanksYou

Everyone loves to be appreciated, but getting a genuine thank you — particularly from a consumer brand — is not something more people expect. While customer loyalty is a common buzzword, usually represented by loyalty cards and special offers, recognition from the organizations to which we are loyal is often difficult to come by. Here, TD Bank takes customer loyalty — and thanking — to a whole new level, with beautiful, touching customer tributes that may draw a tear or two. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Airbnb’s Daily Kindness Bulletin

As part of its Mankind campaign, Airbnb sets out to show that although mainstream news is typically negative and sensational, good news happens all the time, everywhere, and people around the world are overwhelmingly kind. Its Daily Kindness Bulletin aims to make your day a little more cheerful.
