Note: All data presented in this Year in Review reflects giving by Charitable Impact Account users only and was collected from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025. It is not representative of the full 2025 calendar year or the total charitable giving population in Canada.

Each year we take a moment to reflect on the generosity made by Charitable Impact users like you, and 2025 was no exception. From coast to coast, you came together to support causes you care about, champion communities in need, and give to charities creating lasting change.

This year, generosity showed up in so many ways—from personal gifts to the charities you care about, to Giving Groups uniting communities, to supporting new Cause Funds driving change across Canada. And many of you went a step further through peer-to-peer giving, using your Impact Account to share charitable dollars with others, whether it was a gift to a friend or starting a Charitable Allowance for a young person in your life.

In this 2025 Year in Review, we highlight the data, milestones, and stories that showcase the power of your collective generosity. From total donations and gifts to top causes and communities, every number reflects acts of kindness and commitment that together are shaping a brighter, more compassionate future.

Your 2025 Impact in Numbers

In 2025, your generosity continued to spark change across Canada and beyond. Together, you donated more than $187 million into your Impact Accounts, creating a brighter future through your giving.

Over the year, you made 30,246 gifts to Canadian registered charities, distributing $123 million to the charities that matter most to you.

Your giving touched charities of all sizes, from small grassroots organizations to massive national and international charities, helping to create meaningful impact in communities close to home and around the world.

Your Impact Through Collective Giving

Giving Groups and Campaigns take many forms. Sometimes they are created to celebrate a life event, like a birthday, wedding, or anniversary. Other times, they are organized by schools, workplaces, or community leaders rallying people around a shared cause. Some among you are natural-born fundraisers using our tools alongside your time and talent to rally others in support of an important cause.

At their core, they are all powered by the same thing: someone taking action to bring people together and turn individual generosity into collective impact.

This year, your communities came together in remarkable ways. Through Campaigns and Giving Groups created in 2025, and those already thriving, you took action on behalf of the causes that matter most to you and collectively raised over $11 million.

Together, you gifted over $7 million from these fundraisers to Canadian registered charities, turning meaningful intent into real impact for people and organizations across the country.

Top 5 Largest Giving Communities

In 2025, communities like Youth with a Mission Canada and 100 Men Who Care Hamilton reminded us that generosity grows when you come together. By rallying around shared purpose, these groups created an impact far greater than the sum of individual contributions.

1. Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Canada

Youth With A Mission is an international volunteer movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures, and Christian traditions that operates in more than 1,000 locations in over 150 countries.

2. RC Forward Global Health Fund

RC Forward Global Health Fund aims to maximize the impact of donations by directing support to cost-effective, evidence-based projects to fight disease and improve health around the world.

3. 100 Men Who Care Hamilton

100 Men Who Care Hamilton are a group of men who want to help small, local charities fulfill their mission in the city of Hamilton, Ontario. This group of generous men are one chapter out of hundreds that participate in the 100 Women and Men Who Care movement across the country, many of which are powered by Charitable Impact.

4. Our Community Cares: Harvest Project’s Seasonal Campaign

Harvest Project reaches out to people across Metro Vancouver’s North Shore who are confronted with family trauma, illness, job loss, and the threat of poverty and homelessness. They impact the community by breaking the poverty cycle + restoring people to healthier lives.

5. Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation (HHJF)

The motto of HHJF is ‘Participate, Educate, Elevate’ because we believe by providing the opportunity for an education, we can eliminate the barriers to a child’s success. They are currently fundraising to rebuild in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa.

Cause Funds in Motion: Leaders, Launches, and Life-Changing Impact

Cause Funds continued to grow in 2025, offering donors new ways to support shared causes and make a collective impact.

You know the causes you care about, but it can be hard to know where your donation will make the most meaningful difference. Cause Funds solve this by bringing together expert Cause Leaders and their Advisory Councils to direct funds to the charities best equipped to drive change. Donations are pooled with others, creating a community of supporters working together to maximize impact while keeping you connected to and learning more about the difference your generosity is making.

This year, three new Cause Funds were launched—Food Security Fund, Recovery Ecosystem, and Operation Overcome—offering expert-led opportunities to make a difference in critical areas such as childhood hunger, mental health, and community resilience.

The power of focused community giving was on full display with the continued success of the ALS Super Fund. In December 2024, the ALS Super Fund launched the Courage to Fight campaign, kicking it off with a live-streamed concert featuring a soulful acoustic performance by Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, hosted by the legendary Ron MacLean, and special appearances from NHL alumni and legends. You had the chance to hear inspiring stories, contribute to groundbreaking research, and stand united with communities across North America.

The campaign also featured a historic two-week Super Auction in partnership with the NHL, all 32 NHL teams, and the NHL Alumni Association over the course of the NHL Four Nations Face Off Tournament. Our team was thrilled to attend the 4 Nations Championship game to cheer on the ALS Super Fund team as they sold tickets for the 50/50 draw.

Bringing together fans, players, and communities, the Courage to Fight campaign raised over $318,000. This effort highlights the impact of your community-driven giving, amplifying contributions, fueling research and care initiatives, and bringing hope to those living with ALS.
